Clay Tile Project at Tyrol Hills "Arts in the Park" Program, Summer 2004

Arlington County Parks and Recreation
I joined the Art staff as an Art Studio Assistant for Arlington County Parks and Recreation in the Spring of 2003.

Art to Go
Until June of 2005, under the advisement of Community Arts Programmer Kirsten Hein, I ran the daily operation of our Art to Go program, which provides art project kits to various groups countywide. Additionally, I helped in staff training of Art to Go projects, and created art with children and adults at various festivals and programs.

Specialty Visits
In the Summer of 2006, I taught Specialty Art Visits to non-art camps throughout the summer. I taught the following four art projects to elementary-aged children and teens: Landscape Collages, Create Your Own Rubber Stamp, Watercolor Windsocks, and Creature Masks.

Mobile Van Program
Additionally, I worked as the Arts Facilitator in the Mobile Van Program, implementing art projects with children, teens and adults at four neighborhood parks in Arlington County.
